In a recent SNSD photo shoot, SNSD member Yoona said (after seeing Taeyeon adjusting her shirt) "there's nothing there."  Best. Line. Ever.  It takes Taeyeon a little bit to understand Yoona's comment, but Seohyun understands it and laughs.

But on a serious note, the group looks stunning and excellent advertising the J.ESTINA bags.

Girls' Generation releases second dance version MV for "Paparazzi"

After releasing a regular MV and dance version of their Japanese single "Paparazzi", Girls' Generation has released a second dance version.  Labeled as a "Gold Version" the MV highlights the bright pink gloves and legs of the group.

Although the MV has already been released, the official single will not be released until June 27th.  "Paparazzi" is said to be the biggest MV film that Girls' Generation has ever released, so it's only appropriate that multiple versions of the MV be created and released as well.

Reviews of the MV and song have been positive -- the MV has already reached number one on Japanese charts, beating out f(x).  Popularity is expected to continue to rise when the single is actually released.

SNSD releases "MR.TAXI" Dance Version MV

SNSD has just released their third Japanese single "MR. TAXI" dance version MV. The MV features SNSD at its best; "MR.TAXI"'s choreography shows off the groups dancing abilities and new group image.  The video has SNSD dressed in black and yellow, just like a taxi cab, and it's camera angle features SNSD's jeju/leg dance.

SNSD to model for Dior

Christian Dior announced Feb. 8th that SNSD will be it's newest models and "first girl group" to model for them.  Christian Dior is more popular in Japan than in Korea (they don't have a Korean site but they do have a Japanese site) due to the fact that Dior has been working in Japan since the 1970s.  It is likely that Dior will feature SNSD only in Korea, but it's definitely a step further to international recognition, right?

SNSD in Phuket

SNSD has just visited Phuket and is set to release a photobook with their DVD set of "All About Girl's Generation: Paradise in Phuket DVD Preview".  There are already rumored pictures that have been released online (under the cut), but a confirmed picture inside the album is seen above.  What I learned today? Phuket is pronounced Poo-ket not **** it.

SNSD releases "Snowy Wish" MV for the holidays

SNSD reminiscing  beings... NOW.  SNSD has just released a new single with a MV that covers what they've done this year including Oh!/Hoot filming footage.  It includes behind the scenes and SNSD cuts.  Perfect for the holidays! Merry Christmas SNSD!

KARA and SNSD get "Rookie of the Year" award in Japan

Even though we kind of knew it already, KARA and SNSD have been confirmed to have done extremely well in Japan.  Just as the Wondergirls had brought their talent to the U.S., KARA and SNSD have increased K-pop's international recognition via Japan.  How well did these groups do?

"Girl group KARA has so far released two singles, five albums and one DVD and has earned themselves an income of 1.3 billion yen ($15 million) in total sales.  Girls' Generation has released two singles, six albums and one DVD ranking in a total income of 800 million yen ($9.5 million)" (Korea Herald).

SNSD's "Hoot" Photoshoot

SNSD's "Hoot" photoshoot pictures have been released!  The concept photos seem to tie closely to the MV.  SNSD's "Hoot" is the icing on the cake of SNSD's recently success in Japan.  The group redid Korean songs such as "Genie" with great success. They're welcomed back to Korea with high regards.  I personally think the pictures are well done...  But pictures are worth a thousand words, so we'll let you decide what YOU think :D.

SNSD Releases "Hoot" MV Teaser

SNSD has been releasing photo teasers and small music samples for their new track "Hoot", which seems to have an Austin Powers/James Bond theme.  But just recently, SNSD has released a full MV teaser of their new song.  The video shows the SNSD wielding guns and wearing bright 70's clothing or a cowboy outfit.  They're pretending to shoot someone.... I wonder who it is? xD.

Seohyun Can Wink?!

What?! I've been lied to! The Kpop group TRAX released a teaser MV featuring SNSD's Seohyun. Seohyun has been doing a lot lately, such as dressing herself up in a wedding dress, performing with her WGM husband Younghwa during the Incheon Korean Music Wave,  and WINKING?! She's been working with her winking because it's very well done if I do say so myself.

The song is "Oh My Goddess" and will be released September 6th.  It will be among the other comebacks that are occurring such as 2NE1's comeback and B2ST's/BEAST's comeback.

SNSD's "Genie" Japanese Version

Although summer comes to an end, SNSD releases their hot single "Genie" in Japan.  The song is sung in Japanese and they've remade the music video.  It's strange for me to hear this song sung in Japanese, but it'll probably grow on me.  I think SNSD going to Japan is a new step forward for this group ( I swear, I heard some haters saying that Japan was a step backward... wtf?).  I'm sure SNSD will do well in their time in Japan.

The Photogenic SMTown Family

Annyeong haseyo! SMTown's Tour had brought many fans to Seoul to watch their favorite SMTown artists.  The concert lasted 6 hours with 80 songs on a very hot SK night.  The concert was AMAZING and WONDERFUL apparently and now I'm pissed that I can't go to the LA tour stop.  WHY?!? The artists that are featured include BoA, SNSD, SHINee, Suju, f(x), and more.  Noooo.

When And Where Wednesday: SMTown Concert

Annyeong haseyo! The West Coast is going to be shaken up by the SM concert in LA on September 4th.  Groups such as Super Junior and SNSD will make it to the concert along with solo artist BoA.  The concert will be held at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, California.  Most K-pop related events happen here because of the Korean Town located in LA.

I can't believe there isn't more activity in the San Francisco Bay Area since I'm pretty sure we have a fair amount of Korean people here as well.  We should fit a Korea Town in San Francisco somewhere... There are some Korean stores around in the city; we'd just have to officially call it a Korea Town xD.  Then we would have more K-pop activity!

Happy Birthday Tiffany!

Annyeong Haseyo! What is it about Tiffany that makes us love her? Hmm...  She's one of our American Korean SNSD members :D.  She shows the U.S. that you don't have to be born in Korea to be a Kpop star. She's definitely given me hope and ideas to try out for SM Entertainment xD.  Tiffany is really awkward sometimes and loves to laugh.  I don't know why people hate her so much, I mean, she does make mistakes, but I'm pretty sure I make worse mistakes than her... haha.  Although she has just stopped her duties on Music Core, Tiffany is moving on to Japan with SNSD, and I'm happy for all of their hard work that got them to their current position.  Japan is a new stage for SNSD, and I'll be cheering Tiffany on the whole way. Incheon Korean Music Wave 2010

Why?! Why don't I live in South Korea? Especially on August 29? Guess who's on the line up for Incheon's Korean Music Wave 2010? BoA, Se7en, Super Junior, 2PM, SNSD (Girl's Generation), SHINee, Taeyang, and more! It's a compilation of heart-stopping Kpop artists, and they somehow assembled it into one concert! The website can be found here if you live in South Korea and can go, unlike me :(. The line up video can be seen here:

SNSD's Taeyeon is Looking Good!

Taeyeon was spotted by a photographer getting into a white van (in picture) with her cell phone in one hand. I thought we might update on SNSD since we haven't seen them much recently... Hmm... Where is the SNSD leader headed? I don't know. But she looks good for whatever/whenever/wherever occasion. We thought that she looked so good that we made her paparazzi pictures our new banner! Stalkerish? Yes, but worth it.
