S.M. the Ballad MV, Album, and Debut Stage

The newest co-op male group is... S.M. the Ballad! The group consists of SHINee's Jonghyun, Trax's Jay, Super Junior's Kyuhyun, and some newcomer named Jino.  Their debut album name is Miss You and the group debuted on Inkigayo yesterday on November 28th.  As the name suggests, the group focused on slower, moving ballad songs.  My favorite songs from the album would have to be "Another Day" and the title song "Miss You"; you can listen to the entire album under the cut.

Big Bang's New Album/Song "High High"?

Videos of Big Bang have emerged all over Youtube.  The hottest video is a video of their new album High High.  Not sure about the exact whereabouts of the video are from... Inside a club maybe?  Each of the songs that Big Bang is featuring has a defined club/upbeat feel to it.

Disclosure of Accident: Asia Top Star KHJ Innermost Thought

Singer and Actor Kim Hyun Joong (24) had a motorcycle accident and cheated death, before the commencement of his solo work apart from SS501. The cruelty of such a happenstance right when he had to begin working solo on his ownled to a focused outlook in life.

Heartily enjoys the work he likes, while forgoing all distractions. Harbouring an increasingly calm mentality, and gradually permeating through the whole of Asia.



Rebirth In May In a recent interview, Kim Hyun Joong mentioned, for the first time ever, the facts about his motorcycle accident.

On 28 May afternoon, on a road in Seoul’s Gangnam, Kim Hyun Joong, driving with his friend on a motorcycle as a passenger, was hit from behind by another vehicle.

Helmets and protective gears fell apart. It was a major accident. His right arm and elbow suffered from 3 fractures. His left knee cartilage was injured as well.

‘It could have been a fatal accident, but luck was on our side. The motorcycle is not a good vehicle to carry passenger but I was travelling with a friend that day. My over-100kg friend flew from the vehicle and I fell atop him. Thus, I landed on the ground with less impact due to the buffer.’

After the release of the final mini-album at his former company, the period before the end of his contract was a critical moment when he worried about the repercussions of the accident.

He was also concerned that there may be discussions about his enlistment. He can only bear his guilt during treatment till his discharge from the hospital. With the end of the filming of the drama, he is currently undergoing a full body check-up.
‘I will definitely enlist. But I shall not receive any further more body check-up till then.
I would not want anything, no matter how small, to become a hindrance to my goal.’

Due to the accident, his will to carry out activities is even stronger. Kim Hyun Joong said,
‘I do not like to rest. Happily working, I’ve never had a moment when I feel like resting. I would like to give it all… when I can still sing, dance and act.’

In the aftermath of his accident, the process in which he signed with his new company also became a hot topic. Even though several companies offered him billion-dollar contracts, Kim Hyun Joong chose to sign with his current company which offered a much lower fee.

His pride as an artist led him to refuse the high pay but accept a domestic car, which in turn led to further misunderstanding from some fans. The gift of a car in replacement for higher pay was suggested by representatives from his new company.

‘I do not work with the aim to earn money. If I do, I shall have to bear all the negative effects. What I want to do is to display my stage and my work to all of you.’

Pre-Enlistment: 5-year Plan 
On 12 November, he participated in the Asian Games Opening Ceremony with a stage performance of the theme song ‘Sunshine Again’, gaining the chance to show himself to 1 billion viewers.

‘It is the biggest stage in my life. Besides the billion who viewed on TV, there were one hundred thousand spectators on the spot which created such a grand stage that I felt overjoyed and lost for words, with the thought that my name would appear on such a stage.'

His drama ‘Playful Kiss’ was highly popular overseas, but the low domestic rating was still a bitter pill to swallow.

‘Now I am more confident. The next drama will bring about even more difficulties, thus the main issue here is to become an actor with the right attitude and mentality.’

Now, he is preparing for his solo album to be released in May next year, and planning to attend a 3-month music studies in the United State early next year.

‘I would like to learn more about stage performance, dancing and singing, while building up my physique.
I have already submitted a learning plan to a famous teacher from LA Millennium Dance School,
and shall present a music that is different from SS501.’

24 hours a day, he wonders about his future plans. He said, ‘My future 5-year plan is already in place. Each year, I shall participate in a drama and a movie, release 2 albums, hold a concert tour, and release a Japanese album.’

‘On the eve of my enlistment 5 years later, I prepare to hold, for all my fans, a large-scale free performance.’

Lee Seung Gi to hold ‘2010 Lee Seung Gi Hope Concert’

It was reported that Lee Seung Gi will perform a variety of genres for the concert, and is currently preparing special stages for the event. He’ll even be performing an OST track from his drama ‘My Girlfriend is a Nine-tailed Fox’ alongside fellow cast members Shin Min Ah, Park Soo Jin and Noh Min Woo. To top it all off, he’ll also be singing the trot songs ‘Sister‘ and ‘Love Twist‘.

Many fans are also highly anticipating Lee Seung Gi’s attempt at dancing – which he claims is his ‘weakest’ field.

SS501 Kim KyuJong & Heo YoungSaeng Fan Meeting Tickets Sold Out After 10 Minutes From Opening

SS501 Kim KyuJong, Heo YoungSaeng's pre-sale of fan meeting tickets were sold out after just 10 minutes.

Kim KyuJong and Heo YoungSaeng will hold a fan meeting, their very first schedule after moving over to a new agency, on 4-Dec, 7pm at GyeDang Hall, SungMyeong University, HongJi-dong, Seoul.

This pre-sale of fan meeting tickets started at 6pm on 11-Nov and was sold-out after just 10 minutes. It shows how huge the fans'anticipation for Kim KyuJong, Heo YoungSaeng and SS501 are. This is also an instance showing once again their undying popularity.

With regards to the fast sold-out (of tickets), their agency is considering to add one more session of fan meeting.

Before the 2 of them go on with their solo activities, they will hold this mini concert to meet with their fans. They will also release videos of their holiday trip when they were on hiatus, everyday life, etc.

Besides Korea, Kim KyuJong and Heo YoungSaeng is planning to hold fan meeting in Asia regions such as Thailand, HongKong, Singapore and Japan.

K-Pop November Comebacks

Who is coming back this November in K-pop?  The two big names to look out for are Big Bang and Orange Caramel.  Big Bang has been with out an entire album release for two years now, but their comeback should be in a few weeks according to G-Dragon, who told fans that the album was almost finished last month.  The group has thanked their fans for waiting for them.

Another smaller K-pop group, Orange Caramel, plans to release their second mini-album on November 18th.  Their title song will be "Aing♡" and has the concept of some kind of mystical... book and Disney.  Orange Caramel seems to target for a cuter and younger image than their big sister group After School.  After School will come back December 2nd, not too long after Orange Caramel.  The concept for After School has not been mentioned, however.

Junsu Is A "Lonely Man"

2PM's Junsu has recently posted a picture of him and his... panda on a date.  The message the came with the picture translated to "I'm a lonely man" using Google Translate.  If you can't tell, the panda is extremely excited to be dating Junsu.  I'm sure that panda is making fan girls jealous right now. I'm not sure, but does Junsu heart pandas?  I could've sworn I've seen him in pictures with pandas before...

Kim Hyung Jun, “First Kiss When SS501 Was Active” Shocking Confession

SS501’s Kim Hyung Jun confident confession about his first kiss has become a hot issue.

During MBC Every1 pre-recording of the truth game with the question “When is your first kiss”, Kim Hyung Jun replied “When 20 years old, I had my first kiss”. In response to this, Eun Ji Won asked blatantly, “By any chance, it happened when SS501 was active?”, to which Kim Hyung Jun honestly replied, “Yes”, hence shocking everyone.

Additionally Kim Hyung Jun said that “Will not forget the first kiss even until I die.” On a cold winter day, after reading out to (his) girlfriend the letter he had written, had his first kiss while trembling and therefore managed to confess in a romantic way. His younger brother, U-KISS’s Ki Bum, upon hearing his brother’s shy confession, stated “I still thought that you haven’t had your first BoBo”, expressing his hurt by his elder brother’s betrayal (?).

Meanwhile, U-KISS’s Kevin expressed that he has yet to have his first kiss, and have not even have a girlfriend yet.

2NE1 Releases "It Hurts" MV

2NE1's song and MV "It Hurts" has just been released just after Halloween, but just in time for Día de los Muertos (Day of the Dead, i.e. Spanish holiday) not that it has anything to do with Kpop.... xP.  The MV is set in a goth setting with a soul/ballad song.  Does the setting match?  Honestly, I personally do not think it matches (don't kill me).  The setting could have been a city, park, lake, whatever, but NOT a graveyard/goth setting.  Yes, it's "It Hurts" but not literally...  the tempo and sound is too upbeat for the setting it is in.  But what this song shows is 2NE1's excellent singing talent and versatility.  Good job 2NE1 :D.!!
